A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 25 March 2026) informs: "The present baptismal font in the church of Koolkerke, dates from 1859 : https://erfgoeddatabank.be/nl/collectie/object/229065/ https://inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/71984 : Granite baptismal font from 1859 with a brass lid and decorative plates on the basin. An earlier baptismal font, perhaps from the original 14th-century church, was noted during an unannounced inspection visit of 5th of October 1632 by bishop Servaas De Quinckere (1630-1639), who reported: the water in the baptismal font is not clean and candle droplets are floating on it."
