Scene Description: Text on a side plaque: "Triptych: Our Lady of the Tree, attributed to Claeissins. The mongramme P.S. and the date 1620 (left-hand corner) are inexplicable, as Pieter Caeissins died before 1612. The triptych hung originally in the church of the Franciscans. It came to this church in 1779, after the abolition of the Franciscan Friary."

The present font is modern, perhaps from the late-18th century, when the church became parochial again; it consists of an octagonal decorated with a moulding at the upper rim, and mouldings also on the underbowl; on a moulded pedestal base and a splaying lower base, all octagonal; the basin has metal rods (?) inserted on the sides; the font appears to be made of black Tournai limestone. The brass cover is octagonal and resembles an old gelatin mold, with ribbed sides. This modern font is located inside the church, in a chapel at the N side, W end.
