Church Notes: original church Carolingian, ca. 752; re-built early 9thC; destroyed by Normans 863; re-built 967; damaged by fire and re-built 11th and 12thC as the Stiftskirche St. Viktor [collegiate church]; present building started 1263, completed 1544
Baptismal font of stone consisting of an octagonal basin raised on a pedestal base; below a moulded upper rim the sides are decorated with tracery patterns. There is also a modern font in use.
