Baptismal font of granite consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a pattern of wide flat diagonal ribs all around, raised on a short pedestal base of cylindrical shape. There is no font cover present now but the upper rim of the basin has remains of the metal anchorings of an old cover. The font appears to have been re-tooled or drastically cleaned. [cf. Index entry Vilar Maior No. 1 for an earlier font in this church]
