Baptismal font noted in SIPA [ref.: IPA.00000803] [www.monumentos.pt/Site/APP_PagesUser/SIPA.aspx?id=803] [acccessed 19 June 2016]: "No lado do Evangelho, a pia baptismal, hemisférica." The font is made of coarse granite, like most of the building itself, and consists of a round basin of tapering sides, raised on a plain pedestal base of cylindrical shape; both totaly devoid of ornamentation. The font is probably disused now, as it contains a floral and foliage arrangement. [cf. Index entry for Covilha No. 2 for the basin of another medieval (?) font in this church].
