The DBNL [www.dbnl.org/tekst/_voo016voor09_01/_voo016voor09_01_0102.php] [accessed 18 June 2016] informs that the old lower base [or plinth?] is still in the old church ["Granieten doopvont (XIII), welker kuip is versierd met vier koppen, op modernen gemetselden voet; de oude zuilvoet bevindt zich nog in de oude kerk."] Noted in [www.cubra.nl/tilburgsdialect/pierrevanbeek/heemkunde03beerzen.htm] [accessed 18 June 2016] where it is compared to similar fonts at Fulda, Horssen and St.-Oedenrode. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin plain but for the four human heads set at 90-degree angles; a staple on the side of the basin is used to lock the font cover; the basin is raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal base, probably not original. The wooden font cover is modern. [NB: though the material of the font is described above as granite it appears to be a greyish limestone].
