There are four entries for Kingston [-on-Soar] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SK5027/kingston-on-soar/] [accessed 20 May 2016], none of which mentions cleric or church in it. The Southwell & Nottingham Church History Project [http://southwellchurches.nottingham.ac.uk/kingston-on-soar/hfitting.php] [accessed 20 May 2016 reports two fonts from this church; one: "Mid 20th century Chelaston alabaster font, given to the church by Algernon the third Baron Belper in memory of his mother, Lady Margaret Belper in 1933. The inscription at the base reads: IN MEMORY OF MARGARET LADY BELPER 1852 - 1922 GIVEN BY HER SON ALGERNON HENRY 3RD BARON BELPER / SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN TO COME UNTO ME". The second, "The Victorian font is now at Ratcliffe on Soar Holy Trinity." [NB: we have no information on the whereabouts of the original font here)
