Baptismal font of a kind found in this area of Picardy, a round basin seemingly supported from the square rim on four angle shafts, but probably a monolithic piece that includes the square lower base, but not the brick pedestal on which it now stands, a later modification; the capitals of the outer shadts have foliage decoration between mouldings, and there is another moulding forming the base of the shafts. Wooden cover is plain, square and flat, and locks to eyelets in the rim via a metal bar. This font is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM80000773] [https://www.pop.culture.gouv.fr/notice/palissy/PM80000773] [accessed 5 August 2022]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] La grosse cuve renflée est flanquée de quatre colonnettes dégagées à chapiteaux ornés [...] Calcaire [...] 14e siècle [...] H = 50 ; la = 50 (Dimensions approximatives) [...] 1985/04/19 : classé au titre objet", and as being located "Au sud, près du porche". Illustrated with two old undated CAOA photographs in Mémoire [ref.: AP80W01845 and AP80W01846]. [NB: the font may have been destroyed in WWI; two B&W photographs have survived in the Médiathèque de l'architecture et du patrimoine; one is undated, the other is dated 1914 -- cf. ImagesArea]
