Scene Description: Source caption: "Façade Sud de l'église Saint-Nicolas. Le tympan avec les 4 évangélistes. On remarque que les vêtements des 2 personnages du fond portent encore des traces de couleurs. Dans sa description de l'édifice en 1850, l'abbé Daire ne mentionne, comme motif en haut-relief au-dessus du portail, qu' une « main pendante bénissant de deux doigts ». Si le haut de la main (donc le poignet) semble encore visible de nos jours, le reste est caché par ce groupe de 4 personnages, qui semble en effet avoir été rapporté et scellé ultérieurement. Cet ajout aurait-il été justifié par un très mauvais état du décor initial ? (remplacement simple ... ou cache-misère ?)."

The present font in this church consists of a hexagonal basin with plain sides and a tall underboel chamfer, on a slender hexagonal pedestal base, and a moulded hexagonal-to-square lower base; parts of it appear to be painted. Hexagonal dome cover that may be contemporary (or in the style); painted. The church furnishings here are described in Brutails (1893-1899) as not noteworthy, the font not mentioned specifically. [NB: we have no information on the baptismal font of the original 12th-century church here].
