Baptismal font listed in Palissy [ref.: PM80000364] with date in the 16th century. The font consists of a shallow octagonal basin with a protruding rim moulding that has a Latin inscription on it [cf. supra], the underside decorated with an incised foliage pattern; short sides below decorated with very narrow cartouche-like motifs; the octagonal stem has eight deeply-carved human busts on the sides, both male and female, both dressed and undressed; a splaying lower base, also octagonal, has a large square flower at each angle. The font is whitewashed and raised on a two-step plinth. An early drawing [cf. Images area] shows the font with a [wooden?] cover on it, an octagonal platform with four scroll ribs arranged at 90-degree angles and a Latin cross finial.
