The object consists of a bucket-shaped basin with crudely rendered human heads set at 90-degree angles on the upper basin sides; it is raised on a old fluted column that would not have been the original base. Some of the damage to the upper sides of the basin, not withstanding the comments in the Inventaire général above, could have started with the staple(s) of an old cover. The basin is large enough to have been the original font of the 12th-century church here, replaced by the late-Gothic double-font now in the church. No cover present.
