The present font at Saint-Sernin is a plain round basin with tapering sides devoid of any ornamentation, although the lower end has been cut with four almost flat sides; stands on a round lower base or plinth. Plain round and flat cover; appears modern. We have been unable to get any local or national information on this object and, without access to its interior, we are unable to suggest a date.
