A large stone basin believed to have been the baptismal font of an early Gallo-Roman baptistery here was excavated in the nave of the present church, near the south arm of the transept. The see of Evreux goes back to the 4th century. The present font, made of marble, is dated 1788. The present marble font, listed in Palissy [ref.: PM27000694], is 18th-century; it consists of a polygonal basin with larch Ogee-style crocketed arch-heads, on a pedestal base and moulded lower base, also polygonal.
