Noted in Palissy [ref.: PM10003470]: "bénitier [calcaire] est posé sur deux colonnettes et une base moulurée réemployées [...] oeuvre composite [...] 13e siècle". The stoup is a strange object quite likely a composite of several unrelated parts; the basin has the appearance common in medieval mortars; the columnar base appears inadequate and the moulded lower base does not match either of the other parts. [NB: there is a second stoup, one wall-mounted, that could be of the date of the present church]
