Like the church of Sankt-Stephanus itself the medieval baptismal font of Westerhüsen has survived only in a fragment, cracked, blackened by fire and with one third of its side missing now; it is a tub-shaped basin with rounded sides decorated with a double row of blind round arches. We have no information on when the damage to the font happened; the church itself was practically destroyed in WWII, but the font may have been damaged earlier as well as at the time.
