Noted and illustrated (May 2008) by Richard Krohn, Johanna Heyland & Frank Walensky-Schweppe [http://hansen-gunneby.de/ort/kirche/index.html] [accessed 4 February 2016] as a baptismal font made of granite said to have been at a smithy from 1888 to 1930, when it was returned to the church; the baptismal dish said to be ca. 1803. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin with four large heads protruding at 90-degree angles on the upper sides; the spaces between the heads are decorated with a running vine; below it is a thin band of dot-in-a-circle motif; large roll moulding at the centre ring position; round-to-square base with blind arcade atop and a vine (?) below. Although made of granite there is much wear on the stone. No font cover present. [NB: the sources above comment on the smallness of the object but do not give measurements]
