The Hervormde Gemeente Waspik [www.hervormdegemeentewaspik.nl/newsite/historie/binnenkant] [accessed 4 January 2016] notes and illustrates the baptismal font in use in this church, one of the small ashtray-like basins secured to the side of the pulpit by a swinging arm; both parts appear to be made of brass; this same source, however, reports and illustrates a fragment of a much earlier stone font found during the restoration in 1954; it is a from a Romanesque baptismal font of the 12th-13th century made of bluish stone; it had been built into a wall in a an alcove at the west end of the nave [="Vroeger werd het doopvont gebruikt dat aan de preekstoel vastzit, zichtbaar op de foto links. The fragment, still built into the wall is indeed part of a four-head font of the Mosan type built of the bluish Namur limestone; the pointed similarity with the font at Wauthier-Braine is appropriate, althought the latter font has a full arcade of arches on columns, whereas the font at Waspik has rouns arch-heads without supports; the base would have probably consisted of a broad central shaft with four corner colonnettes on a a square lower base with moulded bases for the columns.
