Noted and illustrated in Ligtenberg (1915) as a baptismal font located at the Leeuwarden museum at the time; made fom a single piece of oak, it was unearthed in Harteveenschen in 1883; it consists of a thin tall basin with four legs and a circular lower base; measurements are included [NB: a report entitled 'Verslag van den Conservator van het Friesch Museum over het jaar 1915' [http://images.tresoar.nl/wumkes/periodieken/dvf/dvf-0367-1916-24.pdf] [accessed 2 February 2016] mentions the font and Ligtenberg's entry in his Romaansche Dopvonten..., but corrects Ligtenberg's "Harteveenschen" to "Haskerveenster". The Fries Museum, Leeuwarden confirms [e-mail of 2 February 2016 to BSI] the entry for this font in their Collectie Het Koninklijk Fries Genootschap with ref. no. B00428C. [NB: wooden fonts of somewhat related characteristics are listed in this Index for Efenechtyd (Wales), Leeuwarden No. 2 (Netherlands) and Uvdal (Norway)] [NB: cf.
