There are three entries for Shipton [Lee] [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SP7321/shipton-lee/] [accessed 11 December 2015], none of which mentions cleric or church in it. The Victoria County History (Buckingham, vol. 4, 1927) notes: "There was formerly a chapel at Shipton Lee, and Ingram Berenger endowed a chantry in it in 1312 with 2 virgates of land. [...] It appertained to Lee Grange and had been destroyed before the end of the 18th century."
