Originally a 15th-century holy-water stoup reported as having been converted into a baptismal font in 1967 [source: Protestantse Gemeente Odijk [www.pknodijk.nl/gebouw.php] [accessed 27 November 2015]; the square top is shaped like a capital, with large leaves wrapping around the underbowl onto an octagonal stem decorated with a prominent centr-riung moulding, also octagonal; the lower base is also moulded and has bracket stops that make the lower end square. A metal top has been fitted onto the basin, and the inner well is round, upon which a round metal cover with an orb-and-cross finial sits. The stone of the converted stoup appears to be a black-blue-ish limestone. [cf. Index entry for Odijk No. 1 for a disappeared font in this church].
