The present baptismal font is early-18th century, made of wood in 1706, as described in the Comune di Gavoi site [www.comune.gavoi.nu.it/] [accessed 17 November 2015]: "Il fonte Battesimale in legno finemente lavorato, a forma poligonale con decorazioni ad intaglio risalente al 1706 sorretto da un bacile di marmo e porta la firma di Juan Maria Peddio e fratelli". Another source, GAVOI PRESENTA [www.gavoipresenta.it/index.php/le-chiese] [accessed 17 November 2015] describes the 1706 font thus: " “Il battistero in legno, fatto a forma di torretta con piramide sormontata da croce, collocato su vasca di marmo sorretta da colonne pure di marmo, presenta negli intagli, degli elementi d’arte sarda frammisti ad elementi bizantini e del Rinascimento. Sul davanti porta la seguente iscrizione: AÑO 1706 M. IVA ‘NMA P’EDDIO ET FRA TRES (Anno 1706 - Maria Giovanna Peddio e fratelli) . Sulla porticina di fianco, a destra di chi guarda, si legge la seconda iscrizione che è la seguente: EL R.L AI DELISIA (il nome del Parroco del tempo)” (Cron.)."
