D'autre part, René Couffon date le bénitier du 13e siècle. Le pied et la vasque ne sont pas d'origine. Pour ce qui est du pied, il s'agirait d'un réemploi. La cuve est décorée d'une torsade et de têtes levant et baissant alternativement les bras."

Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM22001138]: "bénitier [...] granite : taillé [...] 16e siècle [...] h = 105 ; d = 85 [...] La cuve est décorée d'une torsade et de têtes accompagnées de bras alternativement levés ou baissés. [...] D'après un dessin de Ramé conservé aux Archives d'Ille-et-Vilaine (liasse 7FB174), ce bénitier serait l'ancienne cuve baptismale de Pléboulle." The basin has some atlante-like figures and some with their arms down in the panels created by a wide torsade pattern on the sides. Palissy [cf. supra] refers to a drawing by Ramé in the Archives d'Ille-et-Vilaine (liasse 7FB174), according to which this stoup was originally a baptismal font at nearby Pléboulle. The entry for this object in the Centre de documentation de l'inventaire du patrimoine culturel [inventaire.patrimoine@bretagne.bzh] [accessed 12 March 2023] suggests the 12th century for the basin and gives slightly different measurements from those in Palissy.
