Described and illustrated in the SziMe3D project [http://szime3dar.com/en/targykatalogus/gyongyosi-keresztelomedence/] [accessed 2 November 2015]: "The only remaining cast bronze Gothic baptismal font in Hungary was made in the bronze casting workshop of Igló. The cup-shaped, squat, bronze octagonal bowl stands on a pink limestone plate. The funnel-shaped high base and the low, deep bowl, slightly widening upward, were cast separately. They are connected by angular profiled, disc-like nodes; a semi-circular tabs are fitted to the bowl's edge. Its surface is divided by horizontal bands of different widths that are adorned with inscriptions of Gothic minuscule (the Credo and the first words of the Ave Maria), tendril bands, as well as rich plaque and medallion lines. The plaques depictions: Peter and Paul, the symbols of the Evangelists, "Sigillum Boleslavi." On the medallions: the scorpion from the zodiac and rosette. [...] Dimensions: 64,4 cm x 64,4 cm x 116,1 cm". The font stands now on an octagonal reddish marble plinth. The font cover is a low dome with a flat cross atop on which is a Baptism of Christ scene finial.
