The present baptismal font in use here is modern, of 1834, and is located at the west end of the north aisle; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin made of grey marble decorated with a gadrooned pattern on the underbowl, raised on a stone base made of four scroll ribs, and a square grey marble lower base. Imposing brass font cover with multiple mouldings and a radiant orb-and-Latin cross finial; the lower side decorated with a band of floral crosses; beautifully-rendered long serpent wraps around the cover sides and looks onto to the finial. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font(s) here].
