Font Notes:
One of four disused baptismal fonts kept in a locked 'corral' at the west end of the San Martín church, in Capella. This one consists of a roughly cylindrical basin with a rounded underbowl; the basin sides are decorated with, from the top down: moulding, row of discs, moulding, row of beads, moulding, ribbed pattern, each rib capped by a round arch-head ended in trefoiled tips; the inner well of the basin is patterned with concave ribbing, and has several large holes on the inner side that may have been originally anchoring points for an earlier cover; there is no drain hole now, but it is not clear whether there was an original one that was cemented over; on a round pedestal base, probably an unmatched piece. No cover present.
