López de Ayala Cedillo (1892) writes: "Frente á la escalera obsérvase, arrimada al muro izquierdo, una pila bautismal, de piedra y forma octógona, en tres de cuyos ocho lados van tallados otros tantos santos." We have no information about this octagonal stone baptosmal font with three of its sides decorated with carved saints, present in this church, near the left wall. The present font in this church is a totally plain hemispherical basin that rests directly on the ground; it has a flat wooden cover with metal hinges and lock; the cover appears modern. The font itself is of the type often encountered on both sides of the Catalan Pyrenees; the surface of the stone is eroded and shows severalsmall holes that appear to be created by the chemical erosion of the stone, although a couple of them around the upper rim may have served as formar anchoring spots for an earlier font cover. The appearance of the stone and the general shape would place this font, like many such others in the area, in the 12th or 13th century.
