The Quorn Village Museum has an on-line 'Brief Historical Tour' [www.quornmuseum.com/artefacts/pdf/938.pdf] [accessed 19 August 2015] that mentions the present font: "the bowl is relatively modern, but the base is believed to date from the seventeenth century". The present font consists of an octagonal basin with carved sides mounted on a cluster of round pillars; the basin looks Victorian. [cf. Index entry for Quorn No. 1 for the disppeared font of the original 12th-cerntury church here].
