Holy-water stoup now in the Musée de l'Oeuvre de Notre-Dame, Strasbourg; labelled as being originally from Neugartheim; it consists of a small square basin of cushion capital shape, raised on a round pedestal base decorated at each end with a roll moulding; rectangular lower base. The church at Neugartheim is listed in Mérimée [réf.: IA67005633], but the listing of furnishings includes neither font nor stoup; the church entry does mention the latter as being from an earlier church here and now [1995] located in the museumn at Strasbourg: " Il ne reste rien de l'église primitive à laquelle appartiennent sans doute un bénitier en grès en forme de colonnette romane à chapiteau cubique, actuellement au Musée de Strasbourg, ainsi que les masques incorporés à la maçonnerie du clocher, du côté sud."
