Additional Comments: disappeared font? (if the old vessel is a stoup, the old medieval font is no longer accounted for)
Font Notes:
There is an old holy-water stoup in the shape of a font half-built into the wall; the basin appears totally plain; the base is moulded. The present font is modern, probably 19th-century. We have no information on the font of the original medieval church here. [NB: we have found no information yet on the church of the 9thC Prieuré Saint-Maurice, also in Sigolsheim; it may well have had its own baptismal font at an early date].
