The baptismal font in this church consists of a stone basin that is octagonal at the top but has a rounded basin and underbowl below; the sides of the basin have a double moulding below the rim, round moulding above, flat below; a row of eight cherub heads below; the underbowl is decorated with a ribbed pattern; the upper rim of the basin retains one old metal staple, with a large notch at the opposite side, both remains of an earlier cover hardware anchoring spots. The old basin is now mounted on a modern replacement pedestal. There is no cover present. [NB: we have no information on the font(s) from the original church here, said to go as far back as the 7th-8th century].
