Tub-shaped baptismal font decorated with a simple moulding at the upper rim; difficult to date but it appears earlier than the main fabric of the present building, which is chiefly late-15th century [NB: Consuelo Escribano Velasco [http://ermitiella.blogspot.ca/2013/12/santa-maria-de-villanueva-de-los.html] [accessed 25 April 2015] has estudied the presence of an earlier church here which, in her mind, could be pre- or early-Romanesque].
