Baptismal font noted and illustrated in the BALaT database, KIK-IRPA, Brussels (Belgium) [ref. 10077160] as being a composite object, the base probably belonging to the basin at nearby Villers-sur-Lesse [NB: Jamblinne was a hamlet of Villers, and its church a chapel-of-ease to it]. The present font consists of a round basin with protruding human heads; only two of these are visible now because the font has been partially built into the south wall of the nave, possibly burying the other two heads; the basin is dated in this source 1501-1600. the basin is raised on a plain broad cylindrical column, and a lower base that appear to be the much earlier Romanesque "namurois" type; though badly damaged and semi-buried in the flooring now, it appears to be of the type that has a round moulding to serve as bease of the broad shaft, four smaller mouldings to serve as bases for the four angle colonnettes, and a lanceolated leaf at each corner. [cf. Index entry for Villers-sur-Lesse for the basin said to belong with the stem and lower base of this font]
