Dos-Iglesias (Santa María de) appears in several 19th-century sources as a parish in the municipality of Forcarey, diocese of Santiago de Compostela. The unedited entry in Galipedia/Wikipedia [http://gl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dúas_Igrexas,_Forcarei] [accessed 6 April 2015] notes that there is a Romanesque baptismal font from the former Igrexa de San Vicente [="No interior conserva unha pía bautismal románica da antiga igrexa de San Vicente."] There are two stone basins that are now [2015] located outside the church, near the western entrance; one of them is round, almost bucket-shaped, made of very coarse reddish granite; it has considerable damage to the upper rim; there is a band of decoration all around which resembles either nail-head or dog-tooth motif in a square; the surface of the stone is badly covered in moss and lichen; there is no base. We have no information on which of these two fonts was the original from the disappeared Igrexa de San Vicente, and which was the font of the original church here.
