Font Notes:
Described and illustrated in Van de Casteele (1877) as the damaged remains ["affreusement mutilés"] of a baptismal font of the late 13th century, the date of the church itself: " Les chapiteaux et les bases des colonnes que l'on voit encore dans l'église actuelle accusent d'ailleurs la fin du XIIIe siècle et nul doute que les fonts baptismaux n'aient été faits en même temps". The font is shown in this source as consisting of an octagonal basin decorated with a pair of unsupported pointed arch-heads on each side, a rounded underbowl, and a round pedestal base. The font is described in the source as being partly built into an angle of the "chapelle batismale. Une partie en est encastrée dans le mur et une autre adossée à l'autel, de façon qu'une seule face reste totalement visible. C'est d'ailleurs la partie la mieux conservée et qui donne une idée exacte de l'ensemble". Van de Casteele (ibid.) notes that one of the stoups located at the entrance is dated 1707, which coincides with the date a major renovation of the church was completed.
