Catalogued and illustrated in Ghislain (2009) as fragment(s) of a baptismal font of the Namurois group, filiation Beauvechain, made of limestone (calcaire de Meuse) ca. 1150-1160; the fragments(s) were re-used in the 17th century on the wall of the chancel. Ghislain (ibid.) reders to the 1951 excavation by Mertens (1952), which discovered the existence of an ancient chapel replaced by a Romanesque church here. The fragment is described in Ghislain (ibid.) as a head rather typical of Beauvechain type, elongated face with moustache and beard, the hair long and parted in the middle and led to behind the ear.
