Font Notes:
Catalogued and illustrated in Ghislain (2009) as the surving basin of a baptismal font of the Namurois group, filiation Beauvechain, made of limestone (calcaire de Meuse) ca. 1160; the basin had been built into one of the walls of the church, from which it was removed in 1969, and installed in the funerary chapel; the basin is square with a round inner basin, at the mouth of which is a faint decoration of foliage; the outer sides of the basin are decorated with a blind arcade of round arches; there is a metal staple in a spandrels of the basin opening, the spandrels themselves being decorated with foliage; Ghislain (ibid.) remarks on detail similarities with the fonts at Mercken (M.R.A.H., Bruxelles), Saint-Sevérin-en-Condroz, Achêne, etc.
