There is an entry for this Rowley [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SK1221/rowley/] [accessed 25 January 2015], and it mentions five priests, but no a church in it, though there probably was one there. The village and the church have disappeared. [NB: not to be mistaken with Rowley Regis, located southwest of West Bromwich]
