The present font of reddish marble dates probably from one of the re-buildings of the monastery church here; it consists of an octagonal basin of uneven sides raised on a baluster-shaped pedestal basin; the basin has a metal insert. We have no information on the font of the medieval monastery church here; the original may have been destroyed in the 1284 fire that burned the church down].
