Noted in Hallbäck (1959) as a baptismal font made of grey-black soapstone in the 13th century; it is of an uneven design and decorated with an arcade of six arches. In Hallbäck (1961) this font is said to form part of a small group that includes also those in Ödeborg and Valbo-Ryr, in this county, and two others in Bohuslän. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [http://medeltidbild.historiska.se/medeltidbild/visa/foremal.asp?objektid= 930713F4] [accessed 11 January 2015] as a soapstone baptismal font made by the "Beslagsmästaren" ca. 1200. The font consists of a much damaged and eroded round basin decorated with a pattern of simulated ironwork around the sides, described in the SHM entry as "beslagsornamentik", and a roll moulding at the bottom of the underbowl chamfer; raised on a round pedestal base with a wider circular lower base. No cover present.
