Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1959) as a baptismal font made of soapstone in the 13th century, the base of an unusual design. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [http://medeltidbild.historiska.se/medeltidbild/visa/foremal.asp?objektid= 930510F1] [accessed 11 January 2015] as a soapstone baptismal font of the second half of the 12th century, in the "Dalslandsgruppen". The font consists of a round basin with slightly tapering sides decorated with a very well-rendered acanthus vine all around [described as "vågformig bladranka" in the SHM entry], between a roll moulding at the top and a rope moulding below; plain underbowl chamfer; round slightly splaying pedestal base with a large roll moulding at the loerr end and a wider circular lower base. No cover present but the ending around the upper rim suggests one was expected on it.
