Noted in Hallbäck (1961) as a baptismal font made of soapstone in the mid-13th century by master Thorkillus. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930828F1] as a baptismal font made of soapstone ca. 1200, part of the 'Thorkillusgruppen'. The font consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a vine on part of the side, and a set of foliage motifs inside arches on the other part; the end of one of the scrolls resembles an animal head; foliage motifs on the underbowl chamfer; the pronounced centre ring moulding appears to be part of the basin block, but the pedestal base and the circular lower base appear to be a later replacement. One of the sides of the underbowl, including part of the centre ring, must have been broken off and has been applied a filling with a schematic scroll. No cover present. The baptismal font in the new church [Öckerö nta kyrka] is modern and was designed by Axel Forssén.
