Font Notes:
Noted in Hallbäck (1961). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930713F1] as a baptismal font of the "Dalslandsgruppen" made of soapstone probably in the 13th century. The font appears to have been kept unused in the porch; the font in use in this church is of a later date, a hexagonal basin probably 18th-century; made of wood by painted to resemble marble on the sides in the 1990s. The old font has a roughly hemispherical basin with a single flat moulding below the upper rim; there is a roll moulding at the joint of basin and base; the 'base' is a short splaying prolongation that appears to be part of the basin block of soapstone. The work is crude and irregular; there is damage to the upper rim consistent with it being related to the staples of an old font cover.
