Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1961) as a baptismal font made of soapstone in the first half of the 12th century by "Torsbymästaren", also responsible for the font at Torsby. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [930706F2] as the bucket-shaped soapstone basin of a baptismal font dating to ca. 1200; the basin extends to a short round stem decorated with a rope moulding; it was probably raised on a stone pedestal of round shape, but it rests now on a modern wooden replacement base; the basin is totally covered in decoration; around the upper sides runs an interlaced vine without a single blank space anywhere; below is an arcade of round arches that contained scenes, figures, etc. [cf. ImagesArea for details], again, without a blank space anywhere; a thin moulding around the lower basin sides; the SHM entry does not endorse Hallbäck's attribution [cf. suptra] and says author unidentified [= "Upphovsman oidentifierad - saknar paralleller ". No cover present.
