Font Notes:
There is an entry for this Aldington [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SP0644/aldington/] [accessed 4 November 2014], and it reports a church in it. Later sources do not report a church here, all of them noting "Badsey with Aldington", the latter being served by Badsey St. James, as, for example, Miller (1890): "Aldington. A hamlet, was a Bereuic or corn farm of the Abbey of Evesham", and gives Badsey St. James' as the church for it. [NB: the Domesday entry is the only reference to church in this Aldington we have found].
