There is an entry for Bransford [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SO7952/bransford/] [accessed 14 October 2014], but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The Victoria County History (Worcester, vol. 4, 1924 notes: "The chapel at Bransford, which is dedicated to ST. JOHN BAPTIST [...] has been much altered from time to time and the walls are very much patched, but it dates substantially from the 13th century [...] The font and all the fittings are modern." [NB: we have no information on the fotn from the original 13th-century chapel here].
