Baptismal font of sandstone; it consists of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, a centre ring moulding and a splaying octagonal lower base; the basin has a total of ten scenes in eight sides framed by columns with capitals and bases: [starting on the east side, L->R]: 1)Massacre of the Innocent; 2)Flight to Egypt [conflated with] 3)Fall of the Idol; 4)Presentation at the Temple; 5)Baptism of Christ in a font; 6)Annunciation to Mary; 7)Visitation [conflated with] 8)Nativity; 9)Annunciation to the Shepherds; 10)Adoration of the Magi; the conflated scenes share a single frame/side; the rounded underbowl has large quatrefoils motifs in it; the basin is in a very poor state of conservation, the font obviously having been broken at some point, and later put together again with dark cement. There is no font cover now, although part of the damage to the font relates to metal staples that secured an old cover. A metal insert on the upper rim seves to hold up the baptismal dish used for baptisms now.
