On-site baptismal font made of bronze in 1441, as dated in an inscription on the upper rim of the basin; it consists of a round basin with slightly tapering sides, almost cylindrical, the sides of which are decorated with seven scenes of the life of Christ [L->R from the east side]: 1)Crucifixion; Baptism of Christ; 3)Presentation at the Temple; 4)Nativity; 5)Annunciation to Mary; 6)Pentecost?; 7)Ascension of Christ; these scenes are framed by a complex arcade of Ogee arch-heads on columns with capitals and base topped by pinnacles; in each column is a standing angel holding an object, most of them [all?] musical instruments; the lower part of the basin has a band of trefoil and quatrefoil motifs; below it is a band of foliage motif; the basin rests on four standing male figures arranged at 90-degree angles; the figures wear moustaches. Curiously, the angels that are part of the scenes are rendered wingless on this font, whereas those that are part of the columns have wings. The font is surrounded by a railing that opens at a gate; this "schmiedeeisernes Gitter" bears the date of 1675. There is a Baroque tiered canopy, of painted and gilded wood, above the font, suspended from the ceiling and lowered by means of a pulley; it is dated 1616. The well of the basin is no longer used for baptisms; instead, as is common in these areas, a baptismal dish is fitted onto an insert that supports it; this dish is very small, unlike most of the ones used in the area.
