Font Notes:
The present font in this church dates, like the pulpit, to 1723, both the work of wood carver Hans Broder and painter Franz Rose, from Stralsund. It consists of a quatrefoil-shaped upper part [not strictly a basin since it is just a support for the baptismal dish], a stem which incorporates a Baptism of Christ in the Jordan, and a very ornate quatrefoil-shaped lower base. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original church here].
