There is an entry for this Holme in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/SE8238/holme-upon-spalding-moor/] [accessed 20 July 2014], and it reports a priest and a church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SE8209538942] notes: "Church. C13 nave and aisles, C15 upper section of tower and clerestory, C18 porch. Restored by Temple Moore 1906-11", but does not mention its font. The font here is dated 14th-century in Freeman Crosby [http://www.fcrosby.com/genealogy/church_booklet/slide2.htm] [accessed 26 April 2023]. The font consists of a plain octagonal with slightly concave sides, raised on an octagonal pedestal, equally plain, and an octagonal lower base decorated with graded mouldings. The whole font appears to have been white-washed recently [cf. ImagesArea]. Octagonal wooden cover with long handle; no finial; modern.
