Noted in Liste der Kirchen auf Rügen [http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Kirchen_auf_Rügen] [accessed 20 July 2014] as a baptismal font of the 14th century. The entry for this church in Dorfkirchen in MV [https://www.dorfkirchen-in-mv.de/content/Version_1/detail_gesamt.php?Reg_Nr=340] [accessed 15 October 2022] also reports the font with an illustration: "Kirche eine Kalksteintauffünte aus der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts." The font `is of one of the Gotland fonts made for both local consumption and export, so likely imported into Rambin: roughly hemispherical basin decorated witha torus-scotia combination below the upper rim, then a pattern of braod ribs all around; on a pedestal base with a conical stem topped by a roll moulding and a splaying lower base. The font appears partly painted. No cover present.
